2024 Trip to Horseshoe Curve

On Wednesday in Kingston, PA I came across a high earthen levee system so I took some pictures and some time walking along it. It currently runs at 41 feet high and has a walking path along the top. On Sept 9th of 2011 the Susquehanna river crested at 42.66 feet. The current hight should allow for sandbagging to about 45 feet.

After that I would head down to Horseshoe Curve and arrive to find that even the grounds close at 4pm and I was looking at it from the outside, therefore I would go back to Altoona and Doordash into the evening and return in the morning. While doing the Doordash I spotted the Railroaders Memorial Museum. I must return to see this.
