Berkshire & Eastern Railroad (BERX)

The Berkshire And Eastern Railroad was created by the owner Pan Am Southern when CSX proposed to buy all lines east of the MBTA at Ayer but the former Pan Am owners wanted to sell all their interests. The final deal was that the Berkshire And Eastern Railroad would be owned by CSX but operated by Gennese and Wyoming. But with no major repair facilities on the line the engines are sent to Waterville for many repairs and appear on the M426, M427 and L070 trains.
