Pictures of EMD SW 1500s Engines
The SW1500 series was built between July of 1966 and January of 1974, weighs 248,000 lbs and uses a 645E3 12 cylinder diesel prime mover that develops 1500 hp, and 62,000 lb of tractive effort, and carries 600 gallons of fuel. My thanks to The Diesel Shop for the information.
